The salmon sashimi is thick, velvety and sweet - every time. If you love simple, elegant sushi and sashimi without all the sauces and frying, this will be your jam. Sushi Masa is a reliable staple for great sashimi. And try the exquisite Special Cucumber Roll. It's just bright, crunchy and tangy in one huge or two messy bites.
Three of us came in on valentine night and got in right away, the food was great. The service was good.
When i came ages ago, it was my first time trying raw fish... it wasn't too bad! This place is a downtown staple, i really enjoyed the meal and will easily be back for more. Its a wonderful little date spot
Extremely authentic Japanese food run by a friendly Japanese family. The only truly authentic sushi in Sioux Falls that actually has a sushi chef from Japan. The other pseudo Japanese restaurant in town cannot even compare to this place. If you love Japanese food and are in Sioux Falls this place is a must try. Portions are also very generous for a Japanese restaurant. The chef also carefully curates fish, some flown in from Japan. There is also an extensive menu of dinner sets hot food for those who are not sushi/raw fish fans. I was shocked to find this caliber of Japanese restaurant in this part of the country - if you love Japanese food, Simply the best Japanese food for thousands of miles!
I love the food here. It's very authentic, and I can really tell they care about the quality of their food. However, every time I go, we have to wait more than an hour to get the food. My recommendation is to go right when they open.
